Paint Protection Film (PPF) is a clear, durable layer applied to a vehicle's painted surfaces to protect against scratches, rock chips, stains, and other forms of damage. PPF comes in two main finishes: Matte and Gloss. Both offer the same protective benefits but differ in appearance and texture.

Paint Protection Film FAQ

  • After your film is installed, it’s important to let it cure. Avoid washing or touching the film for the first 5 to 7 days so it adheres and sets properly.
You may notice small bubbles or haziness appear in the first couple of weeks — this is completely normal during the curing process.

At Aesthetic Motors Co., we recommend coming back for a free PPF check two weeks after your installation. This lets us inspect everything, ensure the film is settling correctly, and take care of any touch-ups if needed

  • To keep your PPF looking its best, we recommend washing your vehicle every 1–2 weeks using pH-neutral soap and a soft microfiber mitt.

Also, do not use a pressure washer directly on the edges of the film, as high-pressure water can cause the film to lift or peel over time — especially around corners and seams.

  • You should wait about a week before washing your car to give the film time to fully bond to the surface.

  • Sometimes damage happens — and that’s okay. Light scratches or swirl marks will self-heal on their own within 20–30 minutes at room temperature, or even faster with a little heat.

If the damage is more severe, just give us a call or bring your vehicle into our shop and we’ll take a look. In many cases, we can replace just the affected panel without needing to redo the entire section.

All of our Stek PPF installs are backed by a 10-Year Manufacturer Warranty, giving you peace of mind and long-lasting protection.

  • Absolutely. Just be sure to use PPF-safe products. We also offer ceramic coating upgrades for your PPF that boost gloss, slickness, and ease of cleaning.
